Department of Applied Zoology and Wildlife Management

Department provides education of students and research mainly in the field of forest vertebrates ecology, game management and animal protection.

You will become expert on animals

you will learn to determine fishes, birds, and mammals including their presence indicators (sings), you will learn to use basic census methods for estimating their abundance.

You will become specialist on game management

you will pass courses that enable you to be game manager and practical hunter.

You will become universal

you will became capable for jobs in game management, forestry and nature conservation.

Forester and zoologist

you have a unique opportunity to become a specialist in the field of forestry and also applied zoology. By this, you will gain advantage in comparison to vertebrate biology graduates of other universities because you will more really understand various situations in relationships: animal – forest ecosystem – forestry.

The Department of Applied Zoology and Wildlife Management provides lectures of subjects mainly in the field of applied zoology, ecology of animals, methods

and techniques in quantitative zoology, physiology and nutrition of game, game biology, game management, world hunting, shooting, special game farming, fishery, kynology, falconry.
